Can there be world peace without Ishtar?

Please, no insulting quotations from old books, relations of inspirational stories you've heard, revelations from the ghost of Charleton Heston. If you are asked for a definition, give a definition that is rooted in the concrete forthwith. If at some point you are going to claim to be not a philosopher, scientist, psychologist, sociologist,or scholar of Greek/Hebrew/Latin/Akkadian, don't post anything about philosophy, science, psychology, sociology or Greek/Hebrew/Latin/Akkadian language or literature.
Thank you.

I never thought Warren Beatty and Dustin Hoffman were all that good together, but world peace? I don't think so ...

It's good to see that the conversation has begun at a far higher intellectual level than is normal on threads mentioning divinities having their origin in the Middle Eastern Bronze Age.

Actually I think it's a valid concept. Show the film to the entire world simultaneously and they will all fall asleep without exception. World peace at last! Of course some kind of royalty deal would have to be worked out ...

Oh, I can't leave it at that. Yes Ishtar is the goddess of something or other, I just couldn't resist the film reference.
Tell us oh Anhaga, why can't there be world peace without her?

Good question, since Ishtar seems to be the goddess of treacherous love
Not as in 'Love 'em and leave 'em' more like 'Love 'em and clean out their bank accounts'

I didn't say there couldn't be world peace without Ishtar. I just asked the question. Personally, I don't expect Ishtar makes much of a difference, any more than any other mythical figure.

I think all this war and conflict is down to the proliferation of scotch eggs. These hybrid embryos are an abomination, mixing poultry with pork and thus inspiring people to a lack of core moral absolutes leading them to abandon God's law and violate the commandment Thou Shalt Not Kill.

So when is Ishtar coming back? I'm being deadly serious by the way. These things are no joking matter.
(And how dare anyone blaspheme against scotch eggs )

DJ (son #2) named our oldest cat after Ishtar, and I must say she is a very grumpy cat with a spot in Cantankerous Cats' Corner A749784 . Even though she CAN be very and
I'm not sure peacekeeping is her most predominant trait.
Just ask the rest of the Cats of the Lair.
I'm quite sure that goes for the Other Ishtar as well.
