actually bubba you do have a good point........but for now I'm still trusting that Wenger has his reasons......but that may change if we continue to fail, particularly in Europe......personally I hanker for the good old days when our defence was English......Keown, Adams, et al

Must be able to find an English goal keeper as unable to handle a cross as Lehmann and Almunia, as well.

Say...David James? smiley - winkeye

Seriously, who wants to bet that Kenny(?) won't be at the Blades next season?

I like Chris Kirkland, mind you after last night Almunia may have gained new confidence...Kenny who for the blades?

Paddy Kenny - Republic of Ireland international. According to the commentary, he played the match with pain-killing injections in his hip, which didn't seem to hamper him until the shoot-out, when he seemed very reluctant to dive to his right. A shame, as he's an excellent penalty stopper when fit.

And yes, you're right, I can't see him playing for us next season unless, by some miracle, we make and win the play-offs smiley - sadface

He was called 'Kenny', and until the penalty shoot out he was brilliant, but then I'm afraid he was quite poor!

The reason for which is explained in Danny's post above, and this was certainly was the reason suspected by the commentators and analysts on the BBC last night.

Not an excuse, just an explanation. However, some clubs don't have the luxury of substitutes, be they English, French, or any other nationality you care to mention smiley - winkeye

(It's true - our only substitue goalkeeper was cup-tied! smiley - doh)
