Well *it* does bother quite a lot of people, yes misspelt posts are more annoying, but I really had to struggle to read your posts, and I'm sure a lot of other people just don't bother.
Reading is instinctive for a lot of people, and we go on the shape of words, I can't explain why but it takes a lot longer to work out the posts of someone who doesn't use capitals.
If someone is struggling with English then I will make an effort to read their posts. However surely everyone is capable of using capital letters at the beginning of sentences?
As you can see I didn't quite get the point of your post, that was partly because I had to struggle to read it.

i don't think it's a matter of capability, i think it's a matter of being allowed your own quirks. and i think you are being hostile.

Hi jeenius.
I have got to know Z over sometime and never known him to be hostile even under what has on occasion been extreme provocation.
Having said that I do no doubt that you are experiencing what you feel to be a hostile reaction. If you check the baclog I have come in on the side of posters who cant capitalize easily because of using digipads or because of using various other systems. Having said that I do think that you should bare in mind that some researchers here do find your intransigence on the subject of writting style to be offensive even though you may have no intention of coming across that way.
I am one of those who also makes a lot of spelling and typing eorrors that is down to ability and not having time to check all my posts. Z is also a prolific contributor to H2G2 on screen as well as in terms of meets. He like I enjoys a diversity of opinion and quirks, but steadfastly refusing to adopt a style that makes it easier for others to understand you is something beyond a quirk.
Im not commanding you do anything just making a few observations and suggestions that might make your H2G2 experience a little better for you and easier on others.
one love

OK
jeenius, could you consider considering the conventions of this place in that we try to make our posts as understandable as possible and try using upper case letters in the correct places so we can read the interesting things you post more easily?

Of course. blicky, i think you've been clear and considerate. I still think to be yelled at in run-on sentences for being incomprehensible is a bit much.
Back to topic please.

Run on sentences?
I didn't mean to yell, I just meant to point out how your post came across.

Well, I've been writing this for years and years without receiving or witnessing a single complaint. I can hardly be expected to believe that it's bothering ton's of people on one person's say-so. I mean, I've seen complaints for all caps, leet, that upper-lower case thing, and general incomprehensibility....

making it legal opens sex for both men & women.
it creates revenue through taxation that can go into hospitals, health care and policing.
it means having sex with prostitutes should become totally safe as they'd be policed and licensed and have to have health tests and up to date certificates to prove they can work.
if it's legal it saves police time and manpower and money.
it can only be good.
male and female sex workers can feel safe, no more taboo's and stigma's.
get prostitutes into schools to teach sex education and safe sex.
Key: Complain about this post
