I find myself wondering how many death sentences weren't commuted at the last hour by this man, but he finds compassion enough to find *this* prison sentence is excessive - after the person having been found guilty by a jury of peers, exhaustive legal process etc? When it's your friend, political appointee, and you've got nothing to loose - I suppose it must be.

A disgrace. Brazen, bold, but a disgrace.

It gets worse. Bush claims to be "tough on security" and yet here he is pardoning someone who outed a spy for political reasons. That's not just damaging to the spy in question, but any contact the spy had in any country was then immediately put in danger.
