How long does it take for what you wanted to say on a Radio 4 message board take to be moderated?

I take it you're on probationary pre-mod?
Posts in the morning, around 9am can be approved in 10-15 minutes but a backlog soon develops. By evening, it can often be a 6 hr wait or more.
Probation usually lasts around a week.

I don't know about other boards, but here in h2g2, unless you are on pre-mod, your post will only be moderated if someone else yikes it.

This thread really ought to be in "community feedback" rather than the Forum I think.

Depends on how busy _all_ the boards are....
The moderators check all posts (on all boards) in chronological order - at three in the morning if they've nothing to do that might be a couple of minutes - at peak times with loads of people posting it can be up to a couple of hours (saw a couple of posts yesterday evening that took over 3 hours to get cleared).

I found it depressing. I am still waiting for the message I posted on Radio 4 message board to be read.
The same thing happened when I was posting on Radio 2 messageboards. I thought someone was *yikesing me (because my previous experiences had been with hootoo messageboards) but I now realize the reasons may have been different.
It can be very confusing.

and now I should have posted my conversation somewhere else it would appear.
Shall I just quietly leave?
I know people with learning difficulties who get depressed because of all these rules and regulations.
How are we supposed to know?

Things might well be quicker now. The drastic changes to the setup on the Today boards led to a mass exodus. Threads used to spiral up to 2-300 posts within hours before, but now the posting level is far lower. So I would expect with a fraction of the posters and a fraction of the posts, moderation should be quicker.

I am sorry I didnt realise you had learning difficulties.
If it appeared harsh I am truly sorry. However this isn't the most appropriote Forum for those kinds of questions, TPTB and the Aces and Gurus dont all frequent here. This is the place for burley (see rude ) political and religeous debate on hootoo.

After four years I shouldn't grumple, many people have died because of all the unanswered questions.
I am lucky to be alive.

Yep. If it hadn't been for GR and a huge amount of consultants she would probably be selling the big issue by now.
Thank you for the song Mr. SWL tm
