This, is FYI... US Church leaders apologise to world churches...
"US Church leaders apologise to world churches
Representatives of the US Conference for the World Council of Churches addressed a message to the WCC’s 9th Assembly on February 18th saying, among other things, that the US-led Iraq war was a "mistake", and apologised to the ecumenical community for failing to raise a prophetic voice to prevent it. The US Conference for the WCC is made up of 34 US churches that are members of the Council."
and...
"Explaining the timing of the statement, Rev. John Thomas, president of United Church of Christ, said, "An emerging theme in conversation with our partners around the world is that the US is being perceived as a dangerous nation." He said that the Assembly was "a unique opportunity to make this statement to all our colleagues" in the ecumenical movement. Thomas acknowledged that not all church members would agree with the thrust of the statement, but said it was their responsibility as leaders to "speak a prophetic and pastoral word as we believe God is offering it to us".

Interesting, did you notice another topic on their agenda?
"The Church is hemorrhaging with the ways it has conformed itself to the values of this world — materialism, perhaps the most egregious — and not been transformed into the “realm of God” here on earth. The Church, in many places hemorrhages with sexism, racism, classism, and yes, homophobia."

imagine.ie, my new internet service provider, blocked that site as occult. But I somehow managed to disable filtering without entering a password. Odd.
I didn't even know that filtering was set up in the first place.

I think I will tell them I heartily approve of their support and inclusiveness of homosexuals. That's a very progressive church.

I actually meant that an ISP has classified the faith and policy website as "occult" because I think that would just irk them beautifully.
