After a further trek to <bluelight) A & E, or at least the fracture clinic, I am no further forward with my .

The consultant had requested an urgent M.R.I. last Monday and, as I hadn't heard anything, I telephoned them for an update.

"Mr MMF, I'll just check, as I've received a number of bookings today. Ah! Here we are. You are in For Monday 13th December!"

"Er! That is not so good, as I am meant to be having a cast on Monday, depending on the M.R.I. results!"

"Oh I'll just make a phone call. They can fit you in on Friday at 11.00 if that is Mr MMF!"

"Yes please" So duly turned up and I was there for longer than when they did my legs! .

Come Monday, and 10.50 found me in the Fracture Clinic, then directed to the Plaster Room, then on to A & E. By this time it is 12.00 and still not seen! . Eventually saw a consultant and he said "Not me! It is definitely the Fracture Clinic for you."

So back I went, only to find the appointment had been made incorrectly, and it had to be corrected so I could see the correct person.

It appears I don't have a fracture, but it is uncertain what exactly I have done. All i know is it hurts like the very . It is good to be back at work to let it have a .

The next question is: Do I Sue or don't I? And if so, do i sue the company or the taxi firm?

Decisions. Decisions. Decisions.

The best result is Mum is getting closer to moving in, thankfully. That is one stress removed. For both of us.

Less running around, more resting, would be my advice! And before you sue anyone, why not see whether you can just claim compensation by less...extreme measures?

As to the who to take legal action against; that is entirely the kind of thing for a solicitor to decide apon, and indeed it may be both, but a solicitor is in a best position to both advice and give all the information about that
How long ago was it now?: Just wondering that it could be still some really* bad internal bruising on teh bone/tendons, which can certainly give much of the pain of a broken bone without there being a break/fracture what you need is a ... and an or two... or three...

And Mal, I personally believe it is either a sprain or the base of the thumb is badly bruised through being bent backwards.
