h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Life has thrown a few Googlies at me over the last few years, most of which have been expensive... Last year's wasn't expensive financially but was emotionally. I am not saying I am out of the woods because the and are still resting on my shoulder, but the of appears to have reduced... How so? The biggest must go to my Sister, who has payed for an to fix my eMac and get it working, so I now have all my photos off it, including the ones from my first Meet... Yes, That includes you, Seraphina, Agapanthus, B'Elana and Venus, amongst friends now departed. And I can now save them all to disc!!! Well! The date chosen could not have been worse... Working in retail, some of us have to work weekends... Yes, you weekday people may have the ability to get up at 09.00 after your Ferrari Fire excess to buy a 42" CTV and not have a concern... I get up at 06.30 and finish at 19.00... But... Big but... No, I don't have a big Buttt... There is a big but... I have managed to a week's holiday before the Meet! It also means that, apart from having time to sort out the afternoon event, I can hunt down inexpensive (not cheap... you don't want 10 to a bed) accomodation... All in all, it is proving to be a year... However I am not counting my as I have two visits to the next month!!! Oh for a bit of and !!! I know I shouldn't complain! I spent New Year's Day with a neighbour... She'd spent a fortune on a party for 18 people, Christians allegedly! 6 Turned up! Excluding Mum and I!!! There wasn't room on the table for the food!!! I took home so much I still couldn't eat it! Leaping to the chase, which took the gloss off it!! A friend of their Church was due to give birth, but there were complications! The birth went well on New Year's Eve, but complications set in New Year's Day... The Mother died at 17.00 New year's Day, leaving the father with a 2 year old and a New Born!!! And we were celebrating the New Year... Perspective... I have now decided not to mention my problems on line, as there are many suffering worse than me!!! There are too many of you going through traumas, tribulations and tantrums, that mine don 't even amount to a storm in a teacup!!!! Maybe I just have a sudden squall in an eggcup, and I apologise for any upset or inconvenience caused... Sometime a person's problems can cloud their faculties and make the specks of dust appear to be boulders at the time they appear so. An ant sees a grain of salt as a challenge, we see it as a grain of salt! Perspective!!! I look forward to a Merry Meet, and hope for a good attendance and hope that some of those reticent to attend will gird their loins and take the plunge and realise that we are a friendly bunch and wort

At last... That has made my weekend. Only taken 18 months, and that photo was a toughy to avoid the number plate and get the car in the photo in what was a very narrow gap!

Now all I've got to do is sort out the photos of all the plants I photographed in Kew for entries and I'll be King Snapper!!!

Maybe I should organise a H2G2 Photographer's weekend in London, just to mess about, and hit some 'selected' entries while having a bit of fun? Could you imagine it? Especially with the abundance of cameras I've got now!!!

Bet it won't be that good this year! I'm putting some aside for H2G2 Meets, the rest... well! I'm not sure yet... I usually buy one big thing to improve my flat, but not sure what yet!
