Hello,
Two Aces suggested I contact you because you wrote the entry on dominoes A17077386. I'm trying to find the rules to a domino game some of my distant relatives-in-law in the Yorkshire area played back in the 1940's, '50s, and '60s. They called it "balaclava" (bal [as in "ballet"]-uh-'clah-vuh). Have you heard of it or played it?

Hi there, and thanks for popping around.
Apologies for the delay in replying. It has taken a while to catch up online.
Unfortunately Balaclava/Balaklava is not a name or game I know, however I guessed it is named after the Battle of Balaclava.
It sounds like a colloquial name, or maybe even a family name for the game, but without a little more information I can't really help you.
The games I have used are the most popular, and are written in their purest form, but there are regional differences from even those.
If you could find more information, I will give what help I can.
