My interest in hootoo declining?
Ferrettbadger. The Renegade Master Started conversation Mar 24, 2008
I recently bought a new laptop, and something strange has happened.
For the first time in years, I no longer have hootoo as my "Homepage" in my web browser.
I wonder if this is the beginning of the end for me here. I just don't seem to have the same amount of time for h2g2 as I used to....
Shame really as I do like the people...
My interest in hootoo declining?

Here and there. I am more of a lurker these days. My job has changed and involes a lot more being away and travelling. The old blackberry is cool for reading, but i find it hard to cope with the pace of threads.
Still i am mostly about in the places you would imagine even if i am not contributing!
How are you anyhow?

The pace of the threads also limits my presence on hootoo. There are a few waterholes, though, in which it don't matter if I follow the discussion - or rather the lack of sanity to come back - and I go there for a cup of coffee and a chat with old friends.

Yes, I have times of the year where I am travelling too and don't have daily access, which makes it hard to keep up. I've got broadband again now for a few months and have been really enjoying getting back into the place.
Am also enjoying the small but hopeful (?) resurgence of the place - move italic involvement, some of the oldies returning...

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
