I climbed Ben Lomond yesterday As always when I climb a munroe, I got halfway up and resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn't make it to the top but of course I did. And it was wonderful! Nowhere else can you see such magnificent views in your home country and nothing can beat the feeling you have when you get back down. As we drove home Ben Lomond kept appearing because it is one of the most visible hills in Scotland. Seeing it from a distance afterwards, it seemed amazing that we climbed it in under four hours. In fact it took longer to drive to our starting point and back than it did to climb the hill. Anyway I feel v.sleepy and a bit stiff today so I am chilling out on my comp. before starting night duty tonight.

Believe me, I am suffering now, I can hardly get down the steps to my flat!! believe it or not, Its coming down the mountain that really kills you and your muscles. Anyway it'll be a while before I do another one.
