They make a lot of fuss at work these days about not locking your laptop keyboard (Windows-L) when you walk away from the desk. People could use it to access your highly confidential data, for one thing.
But there's a worse consequence. Someone could log in to your social media and instant messaging accounts, and replace your photo with that of the monkey selfie:

Not that I'm encouraging anyone to do this - it's highly unprofessional

If you lock your keyboard, how do you access it again? (For dummies like me, who don't know.)

Oh, when you press a key, it takes you to the windows log-in screen.

That monkey selfie was the focus of ine of the silliest lawsuits this year. (And of course I wasn't surprised that PETA was involved.)

If they get away with claiming monkey copyrights, where will it end? Will I need a signed release from my friend, the squirrel, for the pic on next week's Post front page?
Mind you, the crows are allergic to paparazzi and fly away when I show up, but the bunnies were very cooperative...

Well, the case is a bit more complicated than that because in this case the macaque actually took the picture.

That's so unprofessional – I just rotate people's screens to the right (alt-ctrl-right). I miss the days when you could delete people's Start buttons...

Clancy the cat did that to me once, Bluebottle - rotated the screen. Now I see where he learned it from...
I took me some googling - and a stiff neck - before I figured out how to get the screen back into position.

Birds have shown the ability to teach other birds how to nefarious things like pry off the tops of milk bottles on people's steps. Some day they will all get composers >

Sorry, composers should have been computers.
[No, I wasn't talking about the starling that annoyed Mozart ]
