this is a type of bus that only comes once in a lifetime fortunatley they are still in service which is amazing the amount of times they have being destined for the scrap but this is due to the high build quailty and the fact that they keep the traffic moving cost less to maintain than a modern bus look better more comfortable ride well and are well liked by the public is that enough reasons

Following a recent announcement by Mayor Ken, it seems that the RouteMaster will soon be phased out from central London. The collection of fares on buses is to be replaced by a pay-before-boarding system, and thus the conductors (and thus RouteMasters) days are numbered...

Indeed, the final "regular" Routemaster route, the 159 from Marble Arch to Streatham loses it's Routemasters on Friday lunchtime, the 9th December 2005. The previous day will have lots of old Routemasters and older buses running as the "enthusiasts' day".
