We're having a webchat with Dirk Maggs next Thursday. Dirk has adapted and directed the new Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy radio show, currently airing on BBC, with most of the original cast from back in 1978, when it all started.

Anyway, as you seem to have lots of knowledge about the events surrounding the publications of 'The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy' I was thinking more about entries for the post.

I know you already have your own site with loads of information, but not many of us know about it. (or visit the site frequent)

And instead of only posting the odd bit of information (even before 'Jim Lynn') it would be possible to publish such as an entry for the post.

Duke, me old mucker. How do you set up a a moderated chat room? I have to look into one for something I do outside of work and realised that you may be a dab hand at this and could give me a few pointers.

Hey Vestie, me old beautie!

Well, the moderated chat thing is a complicated thing, and it's hard to come by one that is free. I was lucky in this, as some of the users on my message board are computer/programming gods, and one of them built this chat from scratch in ASP.

However, there are a few thingies out there up for grabs, and I would seriously point your direction to http://www.hotscripts.com. Loads of scripts and programs there, in all sorts of coding like ASP, PHP, java and whatnot. Have a look.

Super old bean. I turned up to try your chat thingy but by the time I got there it had closed down. Sorry.

Don't worry, there'll be more chats. I'm hoping to do one with Simon Jones in August, one with Douglas' brother James in September and then one with Stephen Fry in october. I'm working on Jay Roach, as well. I'll keep you posted.
