NuclearConfusion -Not a lot of money in the revenge business

Two years ago, I got in a car wreck after a rather turbulent episode in my life. Hadn't talked to anyone I knew for a very long time, and didn't for another two months.

One year later, I was very depressed, because I felt I hadn't changed at all. I felt like I had been given a second chance at life by not being obliterated by a truck in downtown Portland, and I felt like I had wasted that chance.

And now it's another year later.

And I'm a very different person. I don't even feel like I'm hopeless.

Who'd've ever thought for a minute?

Not me.
Back then, I didn't have anything worth living for.

Now I do.

(X-posted to lj, for those in the know...)

Feels great.

Jay

It doesn't take near fatal car crashes to give you second chances. I believe you're offered them every second of your life, you just have to learn to recognize them. Acting upon them, however, is up to you.

I love you.

Jay, yeah. You're right. Took a while for me to realize that.

Way it goes.
