Yes, it seems far more appropriate doesn't it? It especially suits the cheap symbolism of which the church is so fond. I blew out the candle at my godson's christening by mistake, thereby damning him to a life of eternal torment and horror. In this light birthday cakes begin to seem a little macabre.

I've always preferred funerals over weddings...
