I'm slumbering soundly when I hear a voice,
My radio tells me it's morning.
I have to get up now, I don't have a choice,
So I rise with much stretching and yawning.
My dog runs to greet me, his tail wagging fast,
His thoughts clear, as if he could talk:
"I'm so happy that the night's over at last -
Perhaps now we'll go for a walk?"
I open the curtains - but how can this be?
It's dark & the moon's in the sky.
I look at the clock - yup, it's 5.33
I go and get dressed with a sigh.
In summer this time of the day is just fine
The sun's up, there's warmth in the air,
But now in the winter I just want to whine
"It's cold & it's dark, it's not fair!"

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
