Ahh, yes. It is commonly known that percussionists are the most messy and unorganized people on this planet. This was recently confirmed when my drum/percussion teacher just showed up YET AGAIN at school on a day well known to be a day off...smiley - biggrin

Anyway... what have I been up to these past days? Well, after Christmas and the excellent experience of mid-winter SCUBA-diving (indoors, in a pool, but stillsmiley - smiley), New-year came along. I celebrated it as far away from everywhere else you could possibly get (no, I won't even write the name of the place), along with some ten other music-geeks from my faithful class. We had loads of fun, as usual.smiley - smiley

After that, the new-years concert was coming up, and I spent my time practicing for that. New-year concerts are generally rather boring, owing largely to the enormous amount of waltzes and polcas (mot of them written by Strauss, I wonder how he managed it)... Old classics verging on the edge (or, as is often the case, about five miles beyond the edge, and a wee bit to the left) of becoming clichés, this one being no different. Oh well, we played two concerts with a brief break of approximately an hour between them. I don't think I ate a lot that day... The first concert went straight to hell. Everybody felt insecure, and to top it all, owing to the ferocious amount of stage lights, the timpani had to be re-pitched at least ten times during that first concert. The second one went better, though. And we had a lot of fun... All in all, I'm pretty fed up with new year and Christmas, and I'm really looking forward to my eighteenth birthday, which is coming up any day now. Not soon after, there's the much anticipated Dream Theater gig... Wooo yaysmiley - smiley. The only thing that could possibly improve things would be if CAKE were to come to Norway (which I find highly unlikelysmiley - wah).

Aww, well. I kinda lost the thread somewhere, but anyway. Percussionists must be the largest sets of messy-heads around, this owing largely both to my own performances in the fields of organizing, and those of my teacher. We make up for it by being nice people, and playing the coolest and most wide variety of instruments (hey, who else gets to ruin the conductors finest suit by pouring champagne all over him, all in the name of practicing their instruments, eh?smiley - biggrin).

Now that I'm done writing, I'll seriously have to consider whether anyone will ever be able to understand what I've just been writing...smiley - biggrin

It's a somewhat unusual webbrowser. I would highly recommend it, it's fast, free, and easy to use. Beats the smiley - bleep out of iexplore. Plus, it's made by a small Norwegian company.

i have actually considered librarianship, but i decided that it made too much money. all of my other prospects are in obscure locations and make no money. yup, thats my vow of poverty.

Er... you do know that libarians make close to nothing right? I mean I plan to run a little obsucre bookshop when I retire and sit there and read books while I wait out the day in the uswal way, making hey (breaks into song).

Also, you have to be naturally crabby to be a librarian... I'd love working with books, but never as a librarian... Also, they earn way less than they should...

NEXT to nothing. my wanted career makes nothing and is in weird places like holland or singapore. i am naturally crabby, but a lot of librarians are nice. ive met several that i love.

I know some nice librarians too, but the school librarian is horrible... Her ears are probably steaming, making the familiar shhh noise.
