h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I haven't posted for a while, because I haven't really had time to do it. These past four weeks have been... hectic, to say the least. I feel like I'm running right on the edge of exhaustion. I'm only just managing it...

Anyway, how has the last month been, then... I think the proper answer is... rather eventful. We've given a jubilee concert. The bosnians were here for a week, we gave a gig with them. I've been to the Norwegian academy of music, and seen what they do there... There have been two concerts at school, and I'm not including the horrid "Russerevy" this year... Urgh.

Anyway, the dreaded four-hour tests are coming up. We've had one allready, actually. Norwegian. I think it worked out. This next week we've got two four-hour tests, French and Arranging/Composing. And We've got a "history of music" test, with some 90 pages to read for, plus listening examples... Urgh. After that, there's the conducting test... and the dreaded play-up... AAAAH. I'm playing three ensemble pieces with Geir, and Morten. On top of that, I've got a solo marimba piece, a timpany piece, a snare drum piece, and possibly a four-mallet marimba piece... Got, I hate four mallets. It's hellishly uncomfortable, and frighteningly difficult. Though it's fun, when you can manage it. I was really impressed by the performance by the academy students... They had a guy from sibir there, doing some incredible things to a HUGE marimba... I think the piece he played was called Marimba Capriccio.. or something like that... FUN!

The jubilee concert was last week. Once again, people were moved to tears. Disguised god is a GREAT work. I really love it after this. It's incredible to see a church stacked full with people, all of which have glazed eyes after only a couple of movements... There were some other pieces in the concert. I really liked Miriam's performance of "Carmen Fantasy". She's a real talent... even though she won't admit it...

So, where was I... Um, I dunno really. I can't think of anything else to write at this point, so I'll just leave it till I think of something worth writing...
