Having heard about an adventure one guy undertook I'm wondering what it would be like if one h2g2er hitchhiked his/her way round Europe, who would accommodate them, what would they be encouraged to see/do etc....it would be nice to hear some suggestions

Oh, probably like *any* story about someone who hitchhikes all over the place dressed as a rhino.
What, you didn't mention rhinos? Sorry. No idea what made me think of that. Who the hell would dress as a rhino?

Sorry Opti. I was just joking - but my sense of humour can be hard to spot.
It's good to daydream every so often, though. It can lay the foundation for doing things you would not have done otherwise.

there is a diary of something like that from years ago, done by h2g2ers.

cant just remember what it was called, i think there is at least 14 pages/guides, with a pic on each, with the cars they used, and one with the presidents limo at or near the end.

You know what I thought would be fun? A virtual hitchhike around h2g2 Researchers. Kind of semi-fiction written between the next Researcher along the route and me as the traveller. Probably easier to sort out than a bloody rhino suit.
