Whose responsility is it?

Post 1

aka Bel - A87832164

Well, mine. Always. No matter what happens, or whether I even knew about it.

I just was shouted at by my husband because OUR son has used the car.

Hs, threatening: Who has used the car?

Me: A did.

Hs, shouting: where did he drive?

Me: I don't know. (I mean, A did the shopping, but I don't know where else he went, or how often etc).

Hs, shouting louder: He has driven 200km since Thursday, the tank is half empty. It was full after I had bought fuel on Thursday. I'm very angry that he didn't buy any fuel.

Me: He will do it when you tell him (thinking: after all, it's not really necessary to buy fuel when the tank is still half full, is it? And what's funny is that my husband usually NEVER goes to buy fuel but leaves the car with just a few drops of fuel for me to go and buy some.) I turned round and left the room.

I'm very annoyed. Why can't he shout at A? Or why does he shout in the first place? smiley - steam

Is your husband a vogon? Maybe he just enjoys shouting at peaople.

Either he's majorly annoyed and tells A, please go and get some fuel, or he's minarly annoyed and gets fuel by himself next time and forgets about it afterwards. Or not annoyed at all and forgets about it straight away.

Here's a smiley - hug for you. Maybe you should uy some earmuffs to avoid sounds from outside.

Sho - employed again!

Bel, why not just shout back and throw things? That is as unreasonable as him shouting at you for something you have no control over.

And then tell him that if he ever has a problem with A in future, to sort it between them like the grown up men they are.

Oh, thank you. That's cheered me up enormously. smiley - hug

He has decided today to go to Thuringia tomorrow, so I guess that's why he is annoyed about the half empty (allegedly) tank. But then A couldn't know that. He often buys fuel, because that's our agreement: he can use the car but has to buy fuel, too.

Sho: "grown up men"? What kind of a phantasy world do you live in where such entities exist?

Which should have been 'fantasy'. Probably more than half of this thread will be me correcting typoes smiley - sorry

Sho, I told him that A would buy fuel if he told him so. I just called A, and he said he had intended to buy fuel tomorrow anyway.
But that's not really the point. TH hates it when the boys use the car.
I think it is silly. What is the car there for?

Toybox, go on like that, it is very funny and cheers me up. smiley - cheers

What, the typoes? But they are unintentional!

Glad that you are cheered up though smiley - biggrin I am completely baffled as to why the whole story appears to be, well, a story. Maybe you could sell it to Bild*.

Not much of a story in there, just a bit of daily life here, really. smiley - erm

I wonder if he had shouted if *I* had driven the car.

You've answered that yourself, Sho.

I sometimes wonder if I should do that, KB. But then I'd not be better than him, and I really don't want to go there.

Have you ever tickled someone having a hissy fit? It's tremendously satisfying. I'd recommend it. smiley - whistle

To be honest, I felt more like slapping him.

Ah, but being slapped is so much easier than *wanting* to be an a rage, but being physically incapable to do anything other than laugh. It's fiendishly cruel to tickle someone who wants a good tantrum.

Naww, can't get near him when he is like that. I prefer to leave the room.
