I can't sleep, so what better way to wind down than to put Anumbers of edited guide entries into google search?
Now I know that most of my entries won't turn up anywhere on an English website because they're too 'Germany centric' (as are the titles).
So I searched for some of the others and found this:
http://209.85.129.132/search?q=cache:Sm6yKsCIfhcJ:www.insideout.net/newelessons/IO368T-Autumn.doc+A18107129&cd=6&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk
It says that my Harvest Festival Entry is >>Challenging for intermediate level.<<
I searched for 'insideout.net', and apparently, they're e-lessons, a
>>Resource site for the popular English course, published by Macmillan, for adults and young adults. <<
http://www.xomreviews.com/insideout.net
I think I'll sleep well tonight.

Have you ever tried that, Mala? There's an old journal of mine about my results if you care to trawl through all of them.

Not tried it with any of my entries, no.
But I found this today: F14223006?thread=6786639

That is, I believe I tried it once years ago with my first one It hadn't even been indexed at that point

As a newbie, I am at a loss to understand how this came to be among the conversations I am subscribed to. In any case, hello, and I hope your weekend was an enjoyable one.

Julzes, when you add someone to your friends list, that basically just means you're automatically subscribed to any journals posted by that person

Yes, it takes a while for entries to be linked to from various websites.
I'm actually rather chuffed that an entry I wrote has been referred to by a British publisher ( http://www.macmillaneducation.com/ ) to teach English.

Not much success for me - someone quoted my vampire one in a forum and one blogger liked my cinnamon buns recipe
I don't believe this method lets you see when someone's linked via a text link or a shortened one.

Just to acknowledge posts 7 & 10:
Thanks, Mala, and I take back some rough remarks I made (I'm pretty sure I called you a 'liar'--probably some miscommunication where the rapid-fire nature of things lost one or both of us).
Thanks, B'Elana, for this and your other assistance. I'll get this site right if it kills me (just a common expression, in case there might be alarm at the notion).

This might be taking the conversation in a bit of a different direction but how do you do the thing with the A numbers do you just type them straight into google?

Yes, I tried it on my dinner break, and found out an obscure religious nut had called me an idiot (no, Bel, I won't sue.).
What a great idea. Thanks.
I am pleased to note that you are in an English book - of course, vocabulary control is an almost lost art.

SF: Yes, I guess so. I think they're doing classes for non-native speakers like you and me.
I'm sure you'll have lots of hits, GB, you'd better try it when you have more than just a few spare minutes.
