What to wear
aka Bel - A87832164 Started conversation Aug 8, 2008
So, from hot and muggy to very wet, thunderstormy, cool/cold to hot and muggier - that's the current weather here.
It's not usually a problem, but I'll not be at home (i.e. near a wardrobe) tomorrow, and I don't want to carry a lot of stuff with me all day, so what to wear?
a)Summer trousers (red) with flowery pattern and matching shirt (which has the bonus of being rather long)
b)long skirt (dark blue) and t-shirt (orange)
c)long dress´(red)
d) short dress (green with flower pattern)
And I can't find the dress I probably would wear (I think I once gave it to one of my nieces, but I'm not sure)
Help!

I'll be in my trusty hootoo t-shirt and bring a sweater. Long trousers, though, I think!
Since I won't leave here until ten or so, call me if you need to borrow a sweater

I'll be in t-shirt and jeans with a sort of thick cotton jacket
The gruesomes will be in sandles and shorts, towing a suitcase full of jumpers, jeans, galoshes and sou'westers

I've just ruled out option c. Makes me look like a Litfaßsäule like this one (just in red):

I think (a) would suit you best, but trousers aren't necessarily the best in the heat, so go for the long red dress.

Oh, I see you've already ruled out the long red dress, so go for the short green skirt.

Absolutely. I'd usually wear trousers, of course. I just can't see me being able to carry off red summer flowery trousers, though...

Just wear something suitable for the sun/hot weather and then carry a jacket with a small brolly in the pocket.
