Working lots of overtime is no fun.
My dad worked a full-time job and always had at least one part-time job as well. I always felt sorry for the poor guy. And we rarely did have meals together or any regular family time. I feel for anyone whose dad- or mom, for that matter- has to spend that much time at work.

Yes, I agree, but the other option here is not to have work at all, so I prefer the first.

Quite. I've been there myself, and would much rather work too much than not at all. Hopefully the extra time is compensated with overtime pay, at least? Makes it a little easier to do, IMO.
People with kids amaze me. I don't know you all do it!

Yes, it is compensated - or let's say it used to be. With the economical situation here being as bad as it is, there's hardly any overtime anymore anyway, and if there is, it's not being paid anymore.

Oh, that's a shame. In a way. It's kind of nice to have the option, at least. I've had at least one job that if overtime had not been available (and paid), I would have had to take on a second job.
I'm sorry, though, to hear that the situation over there is that bad.

my has a full time and a part time job. But the part-time isn't as bad as when he was full-time in a restaurant and he was hardly ever home when the Gruesomes were.
Matodemi: I like your attitude!
