Howdy. How goes it?
Anyhow I am fairly new to the guide and have noticed that some researchers have some cool stuff on their home pages. Is there someplace I can look to learn how to do some of this stuff? I have switched my page intro from 'plain text' to 'GuideML' and the little smiley face things don't seem to be working anymore.
I appreciate any information you can give me on this stuff as I have seen some really cool stuff on some sights.
Thanks and Have a good one.

Howdy Captain John!
If you haven't gotten your question about GuideML answered yet, there's always the GuideML clinic, which is maintained by the fabulous and helpful Bruce.
--> GuideML clinic: http://www.h2g2.com/A187229
--> Bruce's page: http://www.h2g2.com/U25551
I hope that helps! Drop by and say hi sometime!
Best,
Kate

If you want information on HTML ( i didn't know how much you knew, so i'll start low on the ladder), try a primer here:
http://web66.coled.umn.edu/Cookbook/HTML/MinutePrimer.html or
this: http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/General/Internet/WWW/HTMLPrimer.html
The GuildML glinic will help with the h2g2 markup language (Thanks Bruce). Once you have a few basics down, use the imagination. If you see something you like on someone else's page, look at the sorce code (under the view section of your browser window) to see how they coded it. If you have specific questions, ask away. that's why were are here!
happy codeing!
