A Conversation for Computers In Science Fiction - TV
Andromeda/Blake's 7
Zebedee (still Pool God after all these years) Started conversation Sep 24, 2003
Has anyone else noticed the similarity between good ol' Blake's 7 and the Andromeda crew and mission?
Let's start at episode 1, season 1 for both...
A crew of seven on what seems to be the most powerful ship in the universe.
The captain - trying to bring peace and harmony to a ruined galaxy.
The computer with a personality.
The big strong one.
The pilot.
The thiefy, non-fighty one.
The engineer.
And then we have the (very) alien pacifist priest and the (slightly - ok you wouldn't know from looking) alien (wannabe) pacifist telepath.
So pretty close, as casting goes.
Any thoughts?
