So, there I was
Pastey Started conversation Nov 27, 2002
So, there I was happily coding away at work. Okay, coding away at work. Alright, there I was sat at work wasting time surfing the 'net when I get an email saying that there may be a job going, doing what I'm currently doing, but paying an effing sight more. Now, do I try and persuade the people that, yes, they do want to do what they're thinking about, and that really they ought to employ me to do it seeing as how not only do I come cheaper than they've costed for, but I'm also already familiar with the project... Do bears wear silly hats?
Wasn't on h2g2 at all yesterday. Did I miss anything?

It's not even definate that there'll be a job yet, they're still thinking about it, trying to organise funding and all that. It'll be a few months before it comes together, if it does, and then I'll have to apply along with the general public. The advantage is though that I already know about it.

Definitely a good start.
Missed you on h2g2 yesterday- but then, I wasn't around much either. I don't know how long I'll have today, either. I might go to a concert tonight, taking an even bigger chunk out of my h2g2 time...

Stanford, Francais, and... oh who is it... can't rememeber. Mainly wind stuff, I think. It had a picture of a clarinet on the poster. Not that that was any way instrumental in my attraction to the poster and the concert in general...

Yup. Not too far away. Hence why I can be bothered to go there. Then again, I might start researching my essay, doing the two compositions I have for tomorrow, practice my clarinet for the first time in a week, do a chorale or two, or maybe some Italian work
Actually, maybe this concert *isn't* a good idea...

Only the composition for tomorrow. I've started in my head, which is the beginning. Only trouble is making those ideas coherant and getting them on paper. The essay is for after Christmas, and the chorales next week. It's fine. I'll get it done. I always do.

Even if I don't sleep at night, I get the work done. It may not be to the best of my ability, but I get the work done .

No, hence why I'm not replying. This particular cluster don't allow it. Not entirely sure why, but there you go.

I'll be home by half twelve, though I have to leave now. We're getting chucked out as there's a lecture in here
