They are closing some of the sites, but apparently the other message boards are coming over this year.
They make the distances between the sites smaller as 'Journals' and 'Personal Space Messages' show in the site and skin you are using. But on the same way the rules seem to have crossed the borders as well.

To vote you have to sign in to ican, you can use
< <./>/cgi-perl/signon/mainscript.pl?c=login&service=ican&ptrt=http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/ican/SSO</.> >
As far as I understand the rules, we foreigners should stay low profile on ican as it is the opinion site for Brittish citizens.

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Feb 24, 2005
Yes, once I saw that it was looking for my postcode I stayed well away!
It's funny to think that I'm a foreigner. I'm used to think of myself as me. Everyone else is the foreigner.

I think I'm quite used to being a foreigner... I did that voting-without-signing-in-which-doesn't-exactly-count thing.

Traveller in Time playing with everything
"I started a campaign for the Albatross project < <./>/dna/ican/Club136</.> > explicitly admitting I am not brittish.
Nobody bothered so why should I ?

Traveller in Time a bit ashamed not using the 'real offensive names'
"Well, I try not to break all rules at the same space time.
'Gnomon', have you packet already? Do not forget to set the video recorder for next Horizon. No doubt they are badly informed and the rock music will give weird contrast to the Mayans, but the images will be great . "
