Thanks for your message. Lovely to hear from you. I expect my original personal space is still there but I can't get back into it anymore. But I did hear through the grapevine that my Dream entry had made it to the front page after I had left the site.

I've been writing the outline of a stage play for a competition. That's done and dusted now so I expect I'll try writing another short story for h2g2 in the near future.

Anyway I quite like the idea of being a FIG instead of a FOG...

Congrats on finishing a project. That is my lifelong dream, to finish a project I've started .

Just curious; why can't you get back into your personal space?

Whatever the problem, we can always use more thought-provoking short stories here!

I can't get back into my previous space because I cancelled the membership and the id doesn't work anymore. But I'm not worried about that as I have this account and I can still link up to my old page if I ever need to.

Well I didn't complete the whole project, just did as much as they requested. They wanted 16- 20 pages of script and you were not allowed to send completed plays in anyway, just extracts. If it isn't picked by the judges there seems little point in writing it all up when I could be working on other things. It was quite demanding and was more about the challenge than anything else. I know very, very little about writing for the stage but it was good to give it a try. Maybe I might decide to go back to it in the future and write the whole thing up, or even turn it into a short story.

I've posted my first short story under this id, and hope to add more later - when I'm inspired again!

Hi there,

I'm just happy as a lark, working at the new job! It's gotten to be much more exciting than anything I might have anticipated from early conversations, interviews, and even the contract.

I've posted a bit since we last spoke, including my latest Guide Entry (Soon to be EG, I suspect), Glass Sponge.

Let me know if you find the time to read it. Not very exciting, and not twists at the end , but it is interesting.

Well done! I had no idea you were working again, but really pleased to hear you are enjoying your new role.

I've read Glass Sponge. It was indeed very interesting, and well written as always. I smiled when I read the line, 'don't try washing your car with one.' That really amused me.

A few new stories in my PS, a few old ones, and a few revised ones. I'm currently working on a story called The Arrangement. I've posted the first half, still working on the second.

I'm off to Budapest in two weeks for a holiday. Woo hoooo!
