My manager is actually sitting opposite me at this minute, but because the computers are back-to-back he can't see what I am doing so he thinks I am being very busy! I'm getting bold in my old age, but my hand is ready to click on the minimise button if he so much as moves a muscle out of his chair!

IM on nights all weekend, oh deep joy of joys!! Mon & Tues off then a nice 7x7 day on Wednesday! They like to give me something to look forward to!

My manager has jsut gone off for a fag, so I can play on here for a few minutes at least!

I rang up my local pizza parlour this evening, ordered a tin and crispy supreme. Do youknow what they sent me??? Diana Ross!!!!

Long time away UG.... Hows things with you now?? I have been fightint the BBC to get back on site.. one dya it lets me on, the next it doesnt... The bloody work getting in the way too... outragous!

Hope you are well?? Not much changed on my side of the world. still fighting to build conservatory (problems with the frame not being ready at the manufacturers!), garden still like a building site, and bank balance going downhill fast...

I was beginning to wonder where you had wandered off to - great to hear from you.

Sorry about the conservatory, have the manufacturers given you any idea when the frame will be ready? Unfortunately the weather is closing in now, isn't it, which must make it difficult to work on it.

Things are progressing steadily at home. Most of the front room is back in order, just got to decide where to hang the pictures, mainly photos of family etc. but one 3' x 18" tapestry of the locomotive "Evening Star" drawing out of Waterloo station on the last steam run ever - my eldest daughter stitched this for me for a Christmas present a couple of years ago, and it holds pride of place over the mantlepiece.

I have nearly finished the garden, but the torrential rain we have had over the past couple of days has put a stop to it. I need to go to the dump but the rain has made the rubbish very wet and I cannot find the tarpaulin to put in the car to protect it. Note to UG: must try harder.

The back room is awaiting bookshelves, although some of them are in place and filled, I still need others to be erected.

So that's my news in a nutshell. I am sure more than that has happened since I last spoke to you, and if I remember what it was, I shall tell you!!

Sounds like house in coming together well. Wish m ine was!! I have to or i'd !!! Have no date from manufacturers despite telling them weeks ago the measurements.. "Well mate, you see it all takes time, and we want to make sure we get it right"!! ARRGGHHH!H!!!
Firstly I am NOT their MATE and yes it had better bloody be right when it does arrive!!

Sorry, little rant from me there, I feel much better now!!

Not much else going on here either apart from half term... but then I am at work all week so Mrs S bears brunt of it!! Timed that well didnt i?? I did actually try to get the week off but everyone else wanted it too and as we are away for two weeks over xmas and new year thought I wouldnt push my luck.

Oh enough! Enough! Sorry Spike, feeling a bit sore tonight. Had a tooth out at 8.30 p.m. last night, just before coming in on my shift and now the anaesthetic has worn off I realise how bruised my palate is from the injection! Makes it hard to eat, so and seemed a good idea to just slide down. I am also getting an echo-echo-echo when I talk because of the size of the cavity!

I'll be alright for Halloween though, every now and then when I am talking I realise people are looking at me in horror, and the wound has started bleeding again. I look very vampire-ish then - most realistic!

hello all.please excuse the extra letters that se seem to be appearing in all my messages...ive been upgupgraded in true t/west style!!!!just to go back to the origin of this thread....yesterday i metmet my old sd school friend that hat i havent seen for over thirty years.it was lovely to se see her,ap,apart from the fact that weve both aged,she has hasnt changed a bit......and she's just as nice now as she was then.thought you might liklike to know.salxx

I really must make the effort to try to trace some of my old school pals and see what they are up to. I know one is in Australia, and one in Dubai but apart from that no idea!!

It is odd how the net has thrown up all these "reunion" type ideas...and given us the ability to achieve things much easier.

Well peeps I actually have a weekend off!!! Yeeee Haaaaa! Freedom!!! Dont know what I am going to do yet, probably involve though!!
