Ah! A man after my own heart. smiley - love

I take great glee in acting like a child when I am with my "children" (now 41 and 43!). "Are we nearly there yet?", "Oh p-l-e-a-s-e let me have an ice cream, I promise I'll eat my dinner!", "But why can't I go on the swings". They just raise their eyebrows, but it's great fun!

Trouble is - I can't run away from them. They could give me a 20 minute head start and still catch me in a heartbeat!

I'm only a couple of years older than you, but I have a nearly 17 year old grandchild who is already talking University and leaving home smiley - wah

Lovely to meet you too

smiley - hug UG

Some similarities here, I feel. I was a single parent from when my girls were 3 & 5 - not pleasant is it? There was many a night when it was just semolina for tea (semolina was 9p a bag then, and my long suffering doorstep milkman used to let me have the milk "on tick" until Family Allowance Day.)

'Zackly, although my break up was more amenable and he consented to me having care and control, and I consented to him having free access.
Most of the reason we separated was because he didn't like being a father and having all that responsibility, so he wasn't going to fight me for them anyway.
