Yasmin, try a recording as a temporary measure, although you *will* have to hear a real cello at some point. Yo-yo Ma has a bunch that are very good, mainly cello solo with orchestra, but I believe he's also done the Bach cello suites (those are unaccompianed)

I have a stack of stuff at home, i can copy and post to you if you want? Vivaldi, Saint Saens... You must know the Swan its the most famous cello solo ever! erm... loads of stuff. Name it.

started when i was 8 i think, so 9 years ago. My cello is called Benjemima... shes lovely... x

Wow when i was 8 i was climbing trees and jumping off a garage with a pillow as a parachute (i sprained my ankle really badly, it doesn't work).

I started platying chess and the recorder and stopped singing in the choir... and *really* got on my way to depression and social phobia...

awww the recorder - i was really good at that, i played all of them (inc the sop - my favourite) Dont now though cept the sop...

I play the tenor mainly...although of course everyone played the descant i believe...wasn't it just a part of school?

I was like on the swimming team! but then i was in this gala in the relay and the guy before me was so slow i didnt get to go...i cried (i was 7) and then i didnt swim for aggggeeesssss.... so now im crap!

yeah it was always part of skool... but it represents an innocence still... i keep mine just for that fact. Mind you have loads of recorders... 12 descants, 3 trebles, 2 tenors, 2 sops and an alot.... recoreder overload... coz my mum is a music teacher mostly...

And...an electric piano, and two guitars, a tin whistle, a harmonica, a homemade wobble board and that's about it i think. Oh and the spoons

A thumbpiano comes from, south Afrika. Its basically a piece of wood with metal bars on it that you can *ping*

hmm....when I was 8 I started playing violin, learned how to write in cursive, and didn't learn the multiplication tables.

I have two violins and 3 bows myself. Family instrument collection (including my stuff) is 4 violins, 5 vln bows, 2 cellos, 2 vcl bows, piano, dulcimer, panpipes, and various assorted tin whistles and fifes, a mouth harp, and an ocarina. But mostly no one plays the wind instrument types.
