After years of closet Aussie supporting I finally nailed my colours to the mast this summer emboldened by 17 very happy months in Sydney. What happened? Yes, the curse of SBE struck and the previously invincible Australian battleship was holed beneath the waterline!! I rather fear that my turncoat ways have led to the end of Aussie domination. The final signs were the two appalling Gilchrist muffs that gave Trescothick and Vaughan undeserved second chances. Pile your money on England for the Ashes if you want to make a decent profit - 3 - 1 is looking likely!!! You heard it here first!!

Actually I have some inside information on that smiley - smiley

There's an Aussie staying at our hotel who came over on the official tour to watch the first two Tests. Part of the package was morning briefings with Merv Hughes and some of the coaches, as an insight into their tactics, why so and so was playing etc. Apparently Shuan Tait has been carrying a niggling shoulder injury through the tour (which is why he's only bowled 12 overs or so on the tour so far). I would imagine that if he proves his fitness, he'll play in place of Kasper.

So long as its not Kasper!! Even Stuart Clark would be better or Shane Watson. Fingers crossed for the Baggy Greens!!
