The Brummie accent is (supposedly) one of the worst and most irritating in the country, though personally I don't mind it. Most people look at me a bit funny when I say that though. The city centre is lovely these days, but the city itself isn't the most picturesque.

Rural is good (speaks the country girl). See if you can move to a market town or something; that was you get the community atmosphere whilst it being big enough to get most of the things you need not far away.

You can drive, can't you, but can Njan? If you live in the country and can't drive, you *must* check out the public transport links. They're inclined to be fairly pants in the sticks, and that's if you're lucky enough to have them at all!

Nah, cities cities cities (says city boy)

Everythings so much cheaper and so much easier to find in a city. Plus the public serives are an improvement (Look they're better than nothing, okay?) Countries are not known for their univerities.

I don't know how we compare for computer science - I haven't been to any other unis. Still Birmingham is pretty damn good all round, even if its bad in comparison the the rest of the uni (and having seen the quality of the musicians it is not ) it'll still be a cut above many of the other unis in the country.
