Please dont believe what you read about Pete's eats. The food in this place is the worst I have ever eaten. My friends and I went for breakfast before climbing and we felt sick all day the produce used is the cheapest available and very very nasty. The tea tasted like old dustbin water and it was all i could do to not throw the thing up there and then. I dont know if they have changed hands because its not run by anyone called Pete. I just cant understand why anyone would have anything good to say about it. The people who run this place mus hate food, the customers and themselves.

I haven't been there a year or two, so maybe it has gone downhill. Realistically though - it's a caff - I can't really see how things like beans and eggs could be badly done...

i thought it was grand, the mugs of tea were great, chips were good, everyone else i was with was happy with their food. some of the staff were rude b*stards but one of em was sexy so it was ok (he wasn't rude btw).

PS: I was there last sunday, nov 19th, so it hasn't gone downhill. Pretty good to find a place like that open on a miserable sunday in late november. place had a good crowd too, although a good few of em were the staff's mates sitting around making fun of people coming in for being young and not local (or something).
