Sal, if it's niggling at you get rid of it. If you have forgotten about it most of the time then fine. Go back to the Doc if you are still the slightest bit worried. A friend of mine had one removed because it was irritating her and worrying her, and she was back at work the next day (she shouldn't have been, but that's dedication for you!).
I think most of us are worriers at heart, just don't bury your head in the sand if something changes.
