Hi Sal
Fingers crossed this one is bigger than any other we had,hope this weather does'nt make it drop off.i have it supported on top of an upturned plant pot,the double flowers are still on too.

hi san, i used an upturned plant pot as well.and then a little later,as it grew,a liner from a hanging basket...so that the edge of the plant pot didn't cut into the pumpkin!l!!

thanx for that tip,i was wondering what to do later,thought of putting soil in the pot,and rest it on that,but thought it might rot it and also encourage slugs,so that liner is a great idea...the twin flowers have droped off,the heavey rain we have had just made them all droopy,never mind i can concentrate on this one now,keeping fingers crossed,Adam my grandson who planted the seed is over the moon and comes to inspect it every day.

aawww,bless him!The grandchldren have kept a very close eye on the two we have left,and theyre doing okay,but i think they might have changed colour too early.Still growing though not as much,but we might be in with a chance if i knew what to do next???TThink i'd better read up on them again,maybe i missed something!dont give up hope with the double one,it might surprise you!!!! salxx

Well suprise its raining again,my pumkin is growing and gone dark green with lovely lines on it,been told it needs 18 inches of water a day,with all this rain should think its getting it lol hipe all is well with you.

hi san,well,the pumpkins are off the plant,and looking good!!They had stopped taking the water in.and gone a lovely ornge colour,so we did what the info said,and took them off,th,they stay in the greenhouse for for ten days after ,r ,then go somewhere dry and cool,and should last until early spring!!!!of course they wont,with some luck they'll be used on hallowenfingers crossed!!

hi sal
mine is just turning yellow but i dont think it will grow much more its only the size of a jaffa orange,but adam is pleased because it is futher than we got last year,the leaves are going brown too,but i do have another on a another plant but dont think that will be very big..no matter we should still be able to carve the other for alloween a very small witch lol im on the tv at mo still comung to grips with the internet,did find h2g2 though gosh it do look different so colourful
