Hello, hello, just thought I would let you know that I'm not going to try to write an article about hypergraphia. The articles that mention hypergraphia that I have found have mostly been about epilepsy, something I know zilch about. It seems too that hypergraphia is only mentioned in passing, as in "symptoms of epilepsy include hypergraphia", with no detail on what that really is. I can't even find it in the psychology textbook I own. Since I'm not really a doctor or anything, I don't think I would be comfortable including Holly's posts in an entry. I can't say "definitively" that they are psychotic, although I'm convinced they are.
Thanks for being so nice on the peer review thread. (Wish I could say that for everyone *rolls eyes*) Your page looks nice, by the way, I never would have guessed you are so new to hootoo. If it's ok by you, I'll add you to my friends list.

Hi JEllen (is that what I should call you?), you're more than welcome to add me to your friends list (you know my conversations will be popping up in your conversations list all the time now though, right? ) I will reciprocate if you do add me by adding you to mine.
About the comments of some others, I have been on threads with a couple of them, and I don't think they really meant any harm, they were just tired and venting their frustrations. Things don't always come out like they're meant to, but on h2g2 they live on forever--for better or worse.
As for the article, I understand completely, and share the concern about definitively labeling someone. Labels can stick with a person and they may be misconstrued. I will be writing something brief as an explaination of the type of work being collected, but am trying to think of a good approach. Someone needs to do it, why not me?

By the way, I have found two URLs for two different Gorilla Funds:
http://www.dianfossey.org and http://www.gorillafund.org
As far as I can tell, they are different. Originally, I pointed my link to gorillas.org, which has disappeared, so I found gorillafund.org using Google. Later, I discovered U42 and the link there is dianfossey.org.
I don't know which is the "right" (Adams supported) one, but I have copied the BBC, as they are most likely to have it right. The other site looks like a legitimate organization though, so...? Maybe one is the US branch of the other? Hmm...

Thanks for the link to Koko's site! I never knew about it. Now I have to go add her to my list of charities! She really is amazing, lucky for us to have her, and lucky for all the wild gorillas, too. Before I get myself too depressed, I'm signing off.
No worries though. I've made a friend, and that's always a nice feeling. TTFN!

Hmm, I don't know which gorilla fund is which either! Maybe the original one split into two organizations? Well, as you say, they both look legit. The more people out there helping gorillas the better! I have a DVD of Koko and Penny - it's so amazing to see them signing back and forth. Also, I'm a big lover, so it's cool that Koko has her own kitty. Koko's caretakers have plans to move their gorillas to a plantation in Hawaii, where they can live in an environment closer to the wild.

I've got three kitties of my own . They're ignoring me right now, so I thought I'd get online and ignore them back for a bit. Maybe pique their interest...
Kitty1: "Hmm... he seems to have forgotten we're here. Maybe one of us should go stand on the keyboard for a bit?"
Kitty2: "Nah. I need to finish my nap. You go."
Kitty1: "Nah, you're right. Silly idea, getting up."
Kitty3: "Zzzzzzzz"

Hehehehehehe! I'm sure my cat things I'm crazy to stare at boxes for hours on end. (TV, computer)
Have you been reading Dilbert this week? Dogbert has become a "furniture psychic". He says things like "Your desk doesn't like your chair."
Have you seen the four word thread? You can only post four words at a time. It is positively addictive.

Just thought I'd give a quick, "Hi"! I just got back from a week-long trip to New York and I'm still recovering.
I hope you're well. I didn't see much of you over at four-word postings, but I read the first zillion pages of backlog. Whew! Wiped me out to the point where I left the state!
I still want to do something to handle the turlingdromes in Peer Review, hope to get to it soon. Keep in touch!
