I was able to meet up with Mr Manda today after much trail and error. You see, a while back, he informed me that he was visiting Utah this fall, and wanted to know what to see. I gave him some ideas and we exchanged e-mails. I promptly forgot that he was coming in teh aftermath of loosing my job, till yesterday when i recieved a call from him.
We arranged for him to call me this afternoon and we would hook up so I could show him the sights.
Well, My slumlord answered the call, and could not understand a UKian accent (idiot(the slumlord, not Mr Manda)) and proceded to hang up. I then spend the remainder of the afternoon trying to get hold of Mr Manda at his hotel. Unfortunately I could but leave a message for him to call my mobile.
The afternoon wears on and it becomes time to go to my weekly League bowling night. I grab a bite to eat on the way, and go to the lanes. Once at the lanes, my mobile rings and I answer it to find Mr Manda has recieved my call. I give him directions to the lanes and he and his wife come to visit me whilst I bowl. They seemed to enjoy the evening and we talked on a variety of topics.
I was incredibly happy to meet Mr Manda, and cannot wait to visit England as I will have yet another stop on my tour of H2G2er locales.
