Help

Saw a discussion recently on the latest Conservative leadership contest but could not find it the next time I was on line. Have tried the search function but cannot find it under any term I can think of.

Also cannot use the search engine to find 'Is this a single topic election'. This is slightly worrying as I contributed to it and can access it via my entry on my home page. Any idea where either of them are hiding?

Hiya, how you doing? I asked a couple of the other Aces about your question, cos I didn't know either where to find those things. It turns out the search for a conversation function isn't working so that's why I couldn't find that on there - I imagine you probably tried the same thing. But there is a thread here F19585?thread=612457 where you can ask people if they remember the thread and hopefully someone will be able to point you in the right direction.

As for the entry you can't find, I'm not too sure about that. You said that you could access it from your space, but when I looked I couldn't see any Guide entries on your space. I'll keep asking and see if anyone has any answers for you. Take care in the meantime,

Ahh, didn't realise it was a conversation you were looking for, thought it was a guide entry. Well the conversation search isn't working, so I don't know what else to suggest I'm afraid. Maybe you should start up a new conversation on the topic somewhere!

Hi. Sorry to take so long to reply.

You won't be able to find any entries on my site yet. The entry I was referring to was a conversation list on a previous Conservative party leadership contest. Was searching for that as know the title and wanted to see if I was getting the search instructions right.

One of the other aces had a look for me but he can only find guide entries as well.

Have put an entry on the lost threads conversation list but no reply as yet?

Any idea when they are going to fix the conversations search function?

P.S. Have never taken driving lessons. Are they really that bad?

Hmmm no I have no idea when they are going to fix the conversations search function I'm afraid. I don't even know what's wrong with it!

Driving lessons are not that bad for everyone, but I really really hated them. Don't know why but I just didn't get on with driving. I haven't driven since I passed my test either and that was over a year ago now! Don't let that put you off though, I know loads of people who *love* driving, and the majority of people don't mind it at least. In fact, I don't think I know anyone who hates driving as much as me! Oh well....

How come you've never learnt to drive then - too young or just no need to? Or can't afford it - they're soooo expensive! Especially the tests - ouch!

It won't have been deleted. Nothing ever gets deleted on h2g2, unless by the Editors and they'd only do it for a really good reason. So I'm sure it's there somewhere. Unless of course you dreamed about it all along.....
