I don't get it. It's cheap, badly acted and with really crappy storylines. And Dr Who fans are slightly scarier than Trekkies (as they're not American and have no excuse).
Then again, watching Dr Who Mastermind Special is really not helping me.

Have you read any of the books? They're normally quite good. Also the first episode of the new series is just a rehash of an old series

I've seen about 4 episodes of Dr Who, to aid with my insomnia.

well there you go. watch 4 episodes and nothing would make sense. you have to take one doctor, possibly the new one next week, and watch a few episodes to truly get to grips with the character and the series.
