h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

During today's 2 hour town-wide power cut I ventured up to Minerva House to see what the hell they're doing with my loan application. Bearing in mind that I move in 10 days, the response of 'We've not looked at it yet, it'll be a few weeks yet' isn't what I wanted to hear. So now I've got two choices:

Choice 1) Go for x weeks without beer, nicotine, food and miss Fresher's week.
Choice 2) Go cap in hand to father dearest and take my parental debts over the 2k mark (you didn't think my holiday paid for itself do you?).

Anyway, with regards to my last journal, I was fair gutted for two days, but now I've rallied and I'm busy finding excuses not to pack my stuff. The fact that I only own a TV, DVD player, Stereo, this here laptop, about a dozen books and a holdall's worth of clothing mean that it won't take long when I do decide to pack.

Anyway, keep on trukkin', yadda yadda yadda.

Well I don't think you have any choice but to take your parental debts over the 2K mark.
I know what your saying though, Minerva House is crap. I live with my Aunt and Uncle, so it took a few months to find out if I needed to declare my Dads income, and I still havent found out if I have to pay tuition fees yet, and I start university on Monday. Luckily the deadline for them having to be paid at UMIST is the 1st November.

I found a new plan. My student account offers 1000 pounds on my overdraft, interest free, so I'm having 500 nicker of that.

At least with you going to Umist you can still scrounge off family for food and stuff, I wouldn't have been able to do that seeing as my nearest family would be 50 miles away.

Im just not bothering to move out! Why should I when I can live at home,not pay bills and don't have to put up with annoying flat mates that you have no choice but to live with!

Well. Now I'm looking forward to Uni even more...
