Hello, I'
m new to the site and am wondering where to start.I am a 59 year old married male and interested in sport, books,and world wide news.I play golf and have an allotment and am interested in improving my general knowledge.

Some good places to start are <./>Askh2g2</.> (where you can ask and respond to questions about more or less anything), <./>RandomEditedEntry</.> (which takes you to one of h2g2's 9,700 Edited Entries, chosen at random), PeerReview (if you fancy reading factual pieces that others have written and commenting on them), and <./>ThePost</.> if you fancy a cross-section of fiction and magazine-style stuff to read.
There's just about everything you could think of somewhere on the site - it's just a matter of finding it.
You should receive a welcome message from an <./>ACE</.> on your 'Personal Space' soon, with some more links to various parts of h2g2.
