Finally, winter is over here on the west-coast of Sweden. And it´s wonderful.
I have 7 centigrades out side on my balcony today, the sun is shining birds are singing and kids are playing in the yard. Geese fly by towards the north.

I am so pleased that I can sit in the sun with a cup of coffee on my balcony. One of the favourite spots in my everyday life.

Any signs of spring where you are?

Ah, that's great Izzybelle! I'm glad you've gut the weather we're still waiting for. Unfortunately,*sigh* we got some rain Fri. about11am & it turned to snow which lasted until late that night. Although, it does seem to be melting quite quickly...as it's definitely warmer. Still the other side of zero C, but just barely... I think it was -4 yesterday. So, only very faint, intangible signs of spring...you know, something in the air.

Hang on to that "something in the air" feeling!
Soon you´ll be wearing sunglasses!

Right! It can't be too far off, it's only -1 today which is a good sign.

Yes, Spring is well and truly on the way here in Ireland also, a bit early if anything. We have daffodils and celandines in flower, cherry trees are showing their blossoms and other trees such as elder and horse chestnut are beginning to show their leaves. Catkins adorn the hazel and alder trees. I love this time of the year, because it the time that nature's calendar starts to drive ahead at full speed, and the days just get longer and longer and longer.

Daffodils already! Wow, that sounds nice! Spring has to struggle a bit more up here before it´s time for that.

Kids fine?

Yes indeed - kids are very good. My daughter just had her 2nd birthday and the twins are getting bigger and bigger. Healthy and happy, which is a nice way to be, thank goodness.

Hmmm... still just hitting 4 degrees up here in Finland.
But the snow's all gone and the river is flowing again

According to the forecast we expect -13C for couple nights this week. That's in Estonia. So I guess it's too early to celebrate in Finland either.

Yup, everything's flowery and green and in soft-focus here in Italy. The temperature in the morning is around 17° C, and I live in a relatively cold town (Trieste, the last outpost on the border with Slovenia).

Can't wait for the first whiff of that lovely flowery smell...

Well *sigh* I can take solace in the fact that, yes in various places it is...& *sigh*someday it'll get here! Yesterday we got to 24 C, it seemed certain spring was here, people in shorts or T-shirts (or both) were everywhere & exultant motorcyclists paraded everywhere after a long winter. But what greets me this morning? About an inch of fresh snow!!

Today has been a wonderful, sunny and warm day, +13C. The town filled with football fans from England -hanging out in clusters from every pub in town this afternoon- chanting. Wearing sunglasses. As long as they are happy, friendly and singing songs it is pretty nice. Let´s hope it stays like that. England meeting Sweden at our great arena Ullevi tonight.

I'm from England myself, so if those fans do anything embarassing I'm going to be very ashamed.
Just make sure nobody takes away their bottles.

The english football fans behaved themselves, desipte losing the game.
