h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

First suggestion: I noticed a lot of people starting conversations on the UG press release page about entries they'd like to submit. If it's still possible to edit that page, you might put in a line or two describing how people should submit their entries to AWW. Otherwise there are bound to be dozens of conversation threads in which people try to bring their entries to our attention. If the press release can't be modified, it's not the end of the world. This idea would just keep things organized. The same kind of thing would be helpful on other prominent UG pages, maybe on the UG Editors' personal space, Miners volunteer pages, etc. Something like, "If you know of an entry that should be considered for the Underguide, whether it's your own or someone else's, please click on the 'SUBMIT FOR REVIEW' link right on the entry, and select AWW. That's where we gather them all and look for them."

Another suggestion: Ariadne's ball of string is a very helpful page, but I didn't get the allusion, so I didn't know what the link went to or why I might need to look at it. Could a line or a footnote be added to explain the purpose of that page, for those of us who didn't pay enough attention in our literature classes?

Question: Are the UG Archivists still fwt and Jodan? Do you feel comfortable covering the roles of archivist and editor, Jodan? Just checking in case we should ask for other miners to help as archivist.

We're still working on this page Deidzoeb it will be much better when I'm done and I'll be sure to use your suggestions

Oh the other thing I obviously can't edit status report, and I've bothered Shazz enough. I don't think it will be a big problem if more people try to submit things there I'll ask Shazz to change it
