I'm in Florida... you could always hit Busch Gardens down here then shoot over to Orlando for all the huge stuff if you're looking for some theme parking... There's the Salador Dali Museum in St. Pete. Florida Met. has rolling exhibits so I don't know what's there now. Then there's always Ybor City...

I think we'll be in Florida near mid-June, personally. (GTB talking here)

IF we decide to reverse the whole thing, and do a clockwise trek, then we'll be in Florida late in August, maybe at the beginning of September.

I've just thought of another reason not to do that, so I'll say again, probably mid-late June.

Whereabouts in Florida?

I hope we will be spending a day or so at Orlando because of the space-stuff there. Is that near enough to you for you to want to join us there? "We" are likely to be GTB, me and MoG, who may join us for that leg of the trip.

Well. I'm in Tampa. Coming from there, the Kennedy Space Center is further out than Orlando. O-town is about in the middle of Florida, while the space stuff is on the east coast. If you're going there, you can hit Daytona Beach, Coco Beach, the world famous Ron Jon Surf Shop. If you like historical stuff, you can always swing by St. Augustine on the way into Florida. It's in the north east. They have the Castillo de San Marcos, the only structure originally built on North America that's recognized as a castle.

We have finally got our dates together. Our Florida dates are as follows, (at the moment):

Monday 7th July and Tuesday 8th July - Wellington
Wednesday 9th July and Thursday 10th July - Ft Lauderdale
Friday 11th July to Sunday 13th July - Orlando

Do any of these suit you? We are hoping to meet MoG and AlecTrician in Ft Lauderdale, and there is a slim possibliligy MoG may accompany us to Orlando.
