Can't see what's to stop this going through. Maybe it'll be easier if it's less explicitly an essay and more a step by step thing.
So to make it easier on the eye, give it some real order. Headers (genres), SubHeaders (specific films, robots). Yes?
On the human-resemblance angle, compare and contrast C3PO and R2D2.
Consider crossing the rubicon. Inspector Gadget. Steve Austen. Half men half machines.
