Gravity, in essense, does not actually exist. It is a concept implanted in the genetic makeup of all humans to keep them from floating about the place, crashing into each other and generally causing a nusance to planes and birds.

It is impossible for humans to grasp the concept of there being no gravity, psychological barring has ensured this, if not purely because their molecular structure does not favour floating about unprotected in space.
