It's the last bit on the URL, for example F112428?thread=284650&latest=1 would link you to the latest item on this thread. Are you wanting to link in a thread, or on an article?

It's the forum number and the thread number. F112428?thread=It's the forum number and the thread number. F112428 is the forum number for my page, and 284650 is the thread number for this thread.

would i be able to find someones forum number if i go to their guideml ?? i know you can find it if they have a guestbook

Never used a digibox myself, for me the forum number is on the adress bar. Testing the Guide ML when they've a guest book will show you the forum number as they need to include that for the guest book to work. I guess you'll need to ask a digibox user to find it when using a digibox.. 
It's always the number with the F in front of it however...
