I am a free entity (within of course the restrictions of a government that does not represent my views or those of what I suspect to be the majority of their voters, and with the realisation that greater world powers, fuelled by commerce, are in fact in control of my destiny), with that in mind.....

How do I get my username to appear rather than "Researcher 216916", which, while quite snappy, does not properly represent my particular flavour.

Tell me and I promise not to write such a disjointed gramatically questionable sentance again (well, maybe...).

OK, so I found out without help from any cyber-travellers. Disjointed sentences, poor spelling and grammar to make you cringe will now abound.

Thanks for the welcome Emmily - wasn't expecting to encounter life in this hidden backwater of cyberspace until I'd written something revolutionary.

Links are very useful, thank you (especially smilies). GuideML is groovy, shame external links aren't allowed - I rather enjoy messing around with graphic stuff from time to time.

I do indeed have an idea or two for the guide. The world is full on uninformed opinion, and as such, I feel I have a lot to offer...there are few less informed opinionated people than myself on the planet (or so I believe)....

As for The House Rules and external links..(I'm gonna be very careful what I say here..I've been in trouble before for misinterperting house rules..)..I believe some external links are allowed..(but..I could be wrong)..providing that the contents of the external link do not contravine The House Rules..let me know if you want to know more..I'll ask someone who knows what they're talking about....

I put my hands up and confess..I'm Guilty of using..u-you..b4-before..r-are..c-see..etc..before you get the out..I only use them in chat rooms..and in text messaging..where time/space is limited..not here at h2g2..though I often type 'u' then realise where I am..and replace it with 'you'....oh..and no..I can't spell hygiene..but..I'm doing an Adult Education Course to help with my spelling..who knows..one day I might be able to spell misinterperting correctly....
